About Sarah
For more than 20 years, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting children and families with special needs. As a School Psychologist, I have worked with children from preschool through high school in a variety of public and private school settings, with extensive experience in Autism and special education.
My professional expertise includes comprehensive psycho-educational assessment, evaluation and eligibility determination, consultation with families and school teams, behavioral assessment and intervention, counseling, and the development of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). I’ve worked closely with parents, teachers, therapists, administrators, and other professionals to better understand a child’s individual needs and develop meaningful supports.
But this work is personal for me, too. I’m an Autism mom, and my professional experience is intertwined with my own family’s journey. I understand that being a parent of a child with special needs can bring a unique combination of love, questions, challenges, and advocacy. My personal experience has given me an additional perspective that I bring to every family I work with.
Over the years, I’ve seen how confusing and overwhelming the special education process can feel. My goal is to help families make sense of assessments, school services, behavioral concerns, and the many decisions that come along the way. I want families to feel heard, informed, and confident as they advocate for their children.
Whether I’m helping a family understand an evaluation, consulting with a school team, or simply listening to a parent's concerns, I bring both professional knowledge and personal understanding to the conversation.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: every child deserves to be understood, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive—and every parent deserves to feel heard along the way.

Assessment & Support FAQs
What does a typical psychological assessment involve?
The process usually begins with a parent consultation, followed by observations and 1-on-1 sessions using child-centered assessment tools. We focus on cognitive, social, and emotional development to create a holistic picture of your child's strengths and needs.
How do you collaborate with my child's school?
Consultation is key to student success. I work closely with teachers and school staff to translate assessment findings into actionable classroom strategies, supporting IEP or 504 plan developments to ensure your child feels supported in their learning environment.
What resources are available for families post-assessment?
Following the assessment, you will receive a comprehensive, easy-to-understand report. I offer follow-up consultations to discuss results and connect your family with local resources, therapeutic services, and educational advocates tailored to your family's journey.
How early can we start the assessment process?
Early intervention is vital. Assessments can be conducted for children starting at age 4. By identifying developmental needs early, we can create a foundational support system that helps children navigate their early school years with confidence and empathy.
